Egg Drop Challenge
Today we tried to defy the laws of gravity by taking on the ‘Egg-drop Challenge’ as part of Science Week. Each group were provided with identical materials to design and construct a parachute and case for their egg that was then dropped from a 2 meter height. Of the eight groups, just one egg survived it’s leap of fate!
Chemical Reactions
Some Science Week fun as our students conducted some experiments in the lab. Today we focused on different chemical reactions.
EIRSAT 1 - Physics Talk
Today our students were delighted to meet Lana Salmon from UCD Physics Department who is part of the EIRSAT-1 team. Our students heard about the incredible team who are building Ireland’s first satellite in University College Dublin and Queens University Belfast as part of the ESA Fly Your Satellite! programme
